Let’s assume that you have a great script, know many people in the film industry and still can’t your project off the ground. What can you do about it? What’s stopping you from going to the next level?

If you are like most aspiring moviemakers, you have produced your promos/trailers, worked the film festival circuit, attended film finance conferences and talked to anyone who will listen to you -- and many people have shown a tremendous amount of interest. Yet, they do not want to put their own money into your film or do not want to open the door to people who might be willing to put money into your project.

Independent moviemakers do not fail because they make bad movies, they fail because either they run out of money during the film production process or they fail to raise enough money to cover their costs to appropriately and affectively market their movie. In either case, the independent moviemaker fails to develop a long-term strategy, which allows him to make movies as a life-long career.

542 Ways To Become A Millionaire

"The book boldly and clearly benefits everyone. It's got 'Joe Six-Pack' attitude yet also appeals to people higher up the corporate ladder who've been downsized into unemployment."

I look back at my business career and conveniently divide it into two parts: my corporate period (1975-1984) and my entrepreneurial period (1984-present). During my corporate period, I expected my employers to shower me with only first-class service. Given the fast and furious economy of the 70s and 80s, it was easy for my employer to provide me with first-class air tickets, 4-star hotels, two bottles of wine at dinner, and unlimited cocktails in return for delivering the goods. I worked 70-hour weeks and partied 'til the wee hours of the morning.

Nonetheless, I left Corporate America in 1984 and have never looked back.

I wrote this book to guide you through those days when you run out of ideas and want to give up. So, stop worrying about things you can’t control, and let’s get started.

"Great book! From the minute I started reading it I was engrossed and couldn’t put it down. You were frank, open and honest. I appreciate you sharing it with me. I’ll gladly recommend it to friends and family."

Jeffrey guides us through his alcohol-consumed life while we watch helplessly as his addiction destroys his marriage, business, and financial security, leaving him broken hearted and clinging onto what little he had left.  It isn’t until he is found by police, lying in a New York City gutter at 2:00 a.m., that Jeffrey realizes that he may have a problem.  Could he be an alcoholic?

A Gentleman Drunk journals the extended ballad of one man’s true battle with alcohol and how he conquered it.  This distinguished achievement of real-life drama is combined with wit and brutal honesty as the sobering events of Jeffrey’s life leave him at rock bottom before he discovers the source of his decline.

"Excellent book on off-balance sheet financing. Promotes his theory on how Enron destroyed off-balance sheet financing for all corporations. Predicts the demise of public leasing companies and a new form of private leasing company."

For twenty-five years, I educated more than 20,000 equipment leasing professionals in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, Malta, Mexico, Nigeria, Portugal, Singapore and the U.K. By most standards, I am a world expert on the subject. Although I prefer Google, Yahoo and MSN, pick any search engine you want. Type in the phrase, ‘FASB 13’ or ‘lease accounting’ and one of my websites will show up on the first page in the organic listings.

"Best comprehensive book on Leasing. The author presents one of the most entertaining histories of Leasing ever published."

I have worked continually with the equipment leasing industry since 1981 and, as a result, became an expert. Unfortunately, as I see the world in 2009, many leasing professionals are unprepared for the rough times ahead.

Experience tells me that no one enjoys looking at themselves and grading their performances. It is difficult, painful and intrusive. To get to a new horizon one has to first figure out where they are. Too many people lie to themselves, or believe that things will happen for the better if they just wish. Unfortunately, to be successful requires a lot of hard work, time and effort. I believe that with proper guidance and education, everyone can become financially successful.
